What to Expect at Our Firle Practice

We’re committed to changing your perception of what it means to go to the dentist. If anxiety or dental phobia is something you struggle with, you’ve come to the right place!

When you step through the door, you’ll meet our front office coordinator, Helen. She’ll be happy to answer any questions and walk you through the new patient process.

Your First Appointment

New patient appointments are approximately 45 minutes long, depending on your unique needs and concerns. To save time, all necessary paperwork is available to download and complete in advance. Or you can arrive a few minutes early to fill out the forms here in our office.

When You Arrive

At the time of your visit, we’ll review your paperwork and initial concerns. If needed, a few photographs and X-rays will be taken to establish a baseline of what’s required. Should you need any treatment, we’ll provide you with a full care plan and explain everything that’s included (including the associated costs).

Are You in Pain?

For people who need immediate assistance — such as in the instance of a toothache — we’ll do everything possible to get you out of any discomfort. We won’t let you leave with the same pain that you had when you arrived.

If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, our after-hours mobile number is answered up until 9 pm each evening. We’ll walk you through what to do next or direct you where to go for urgent care services.

Keeping You Comfortable

We work at your pace and value communication. The better you’re informed about your care, the easier it is to help you feel comfortable. Creating relationships with our patients allows us to provide them with the best dental journey and keep their smiles healthier, longer.

If you need something such as medication or gas to help you relax, that’s available too. Contact us in advance so that we can make appropriate arrangements. Be sure to bring a trusted friend to drive you home afterwards.

Insurance and Financing

We’re a Member’s Choice dental practice for carriers like Bupa, HCF and Medibank Private. CDBS is also accepted. In most cases, your routine preventative clean and exam are gap-free. All other major insurances are filed on the spot via HICAPS. Be sure to have your insurance card on hand for your new patient appointment.

For flexible payment options, we conveniently offer financing through Afterpay, DentiCare and ZipPay. We also accept cash, check and credit card payments.
